Ken was a good friend of mine for many years since 1961.
I have many stories of things that we did as a group of guys that hung out together. One of my favorites was while fishing one night on Elwood reservoir with laterns over the side of Ken's boat. As we approached a limb out across the water I could see a very large Blue Heron on the branch. There were 4 of us in the boat and I was in the center. I reached up and grabbed the legs of the bird in both hands just above it's feet and held on for dear life. It's wing span was a good 6' and it was trying very hard to fly away all the time beating the other 3 guys in the boat. I still laugh as I can hear them saying "Wiles let it go, let it go".
