Susan Ockinga Cleaver

I worked for a year in Social Services in Falls City, Nebraska. I then taught and some years substituted in several Nebraska schools. I was married for 25 years and divorced. I had two children, now in their thirties. I had a relationship for several years with a purple heart veteran, who passed away. Now I keep busy with hobbies that I tried to turn into a business. It didn't take off. Keeping busy with grandchildren, Ian and Maya Castillo.

One of the things that I did in High School that I remember is when I found a baby snake in the grass in front of my house. My dad told me it was a grass snake and harmless. I took it out in study hall and held it in my hands to show people. then I took it to Biology class where teacher, Tom Tonack, informed me it was a water moccasin or cottonmouth. Needless to say I didn't play with it anymore. I remember going out for track and running several miles home to the Platte River.
